World Environment Day
5th June 2020
Today is World Environment Day, this year themed ‘Time for Nature’. There has probably never been a time when it’s more important to value and care for the natural world. Protecting our ecosystems and the services they give are vital for human health.
CCI partner UNEP-WCMC’s blog about the day can be found here. There are more stories about their work in Columbia, host for the day and one of the most biodiverse nations on Earth here; and about the state of the world’s forests here
At CCI, the Endangered Landscapes Programme works across Europe to conserve and restore landscapes for nature and people. You can find out more about all their projects on their newly-revamped website.
