The Cambridge Conservation Initiative (CCI) is a global hub for conservation and a unique partnership between the University of Cambridge and leading biodiversity organisations in and around Cambridge. CCI works to transform international biodiversity conservation by integrating those engaged in creating conservation policy and action with those carrying out research and teaching.

The CCI Finance and Grants Administrator will ensure the smooth running of the Executive Director’s Office (EDO) finances and reporting, the managing of the CCI Collaborative Fund, and provide a range of administrative and logistical support services. Responsibilities of the role will also include supporting CCI Communications where required and maintaining pages on the CCI website, as well as establishing and managing comprehensive databases, monitoring budgets, and helping to coordinate the grants process.

This position is a vital part of the CCI team and will be based in the famous David Attenborough Building in central Cambridge and works in close collaboration with Cambridge Judge Business School (CJBS). In particular, the role holder will work with the finance and administration teams based at CJBS.

Educated to degree level, or with an equivalent level of relevant professional experience, you will have experience of working as a senior administrator within a similar role or finance environment. You should have experience of managing budgets and preparing financial reports and organising and administering financial systems. Excellent organisation skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work well under pressure are essential to the success of the role holder. A passion for collaboration and an interest in the environment and conservation will be an advantage.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 3 years in the first instance.
