University of Cambridge Vice-Chancellor prioritises the health of the planet

University of Cambridge
At her first annual address to the University of Cambridge, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Deborah Prentice, outlined her priorities for the year ahead. One of the most important of these will be “Cambridge’s contribution to the health of the planet” and ensuring that the University “is aligned around a desire to make a difference in this critical domain…with the help of colleagues throughout the University”. Professor Prentice specifically mentioned Cambridge Conservation Initiative, Cambridge Zero and Cambridge Institute for Sustainable Leadership (CISL) as among those leading in this area, and outlined the University’s desire to help position their work for greater impact.
We are delighted that the Vice-Chancellor has spoken so clearly about the critical importance of planetary health, something that is core to the mission of CCI and its other partners, too.
