Presentations about CCI conservation campus

On 9 April 2014 CCI held an event to update CCI partners on progress with the development of the CCI conservation campus.

The three presentations, which can be viewed in this video, provided an update on the refurbishment of the Arup building on the New Museums Site, which will become home to the Cambridge Conservation Initiative, as well as providing refurbished space for the Museum of Zoology and the Department of Zoology. In the first presentation Carol Lelliott, from Nicholas Hare Architects, provided an overview of the design work and planning that has gone into the project so far. This was followed by Alisdair Young from the sustainability engineers Buro Happold, who introduces the bespoke sustainability framework that is in place for the building during and after the refurbishment. Finally Darren Ferry, from Kier, explained how the building’s contractors are implementing the sustainability framework during the building work.
