International Women’s Day at CCI and the Museum of Zoology

7th March 2020

This International Women’s Day, the Museum of Zoology will be celebrating the amazing women conservationists from CCI and the departments of Zoology and Geography.  They will be hosting a series of talks from the women at the forefront of zoology and conservation with a focus on species included in the museum collection. Speakers include Juliet Vickery from RSPB, Anna Guasco from the Department of Geography and Katie Sainsbury from the Department of Zoology. The talks are suitable for all ages and will be held from 2-4pm on Saturday 7th March.

The museum will also be installing temporary new labels written by women working on species from the collection. Contributors from CCI partners  RSPB, BirdLife International, BTO and the University of Cambridge will be taking a fresh look at the work done to protect species from albatross to zebra. The labels will be in place throughout the Science Festival- do go and take a look!
