COP 16 Panel Discussion
9th October 2024
CCI, together with the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), is hosting a panel discussion between industry leaders on the forthcoming UN CBD Conference of the Parties (COP16).
The Lunchtime Seminar on Wednesday 9 October will take place in person at CISL’s headquarters, the Entopia Building, 1 Regent Street, Cambridge, and online.
The panel will discuss the purpose of this year’s crucial COP16, which starts in Columbia on October 21. The discussions will include what the private sector is already doing on nature and what is needed next to secure a habitable, diverse ecosystem for all.
The event will be moderated by Lindsay Hooper, CISL CEO, and the speakers are:
- Prof Melissa Leach, Director at Cambridge Conservation Initiative
- Matt Jones, Chief Impact Officer, UNEP WCMC
- Fiona Dobson, Senior Policy Officer, International, RSPB
- Victoria Leggett, Head of Impact Investing, UBP, in addition to co-running a listed equity Biodiversity Restoration portfolio
Following the panel, there will be time for a short Q&A; and we welcome guests to Entopia at 12.30pm for networking and light refreshments.
