CANCELLED: The Adventures of Ellie & Boo with Millie Kerr

18th April 2020

Join conservationist and author Millie Kerr, and illustrator Eve O’Brien for a chat about what inspired Ellie and Boo’s journey (Millie will have copies of her book on hand to sign and sell). Millie will be in the Common room of the David Attenborough Building, New Museums Site, from 12:30-2:30pm, and Eve will join her from 12:30-1:30pm.

Millie Kerr is an author, journalist, and wildlife conservationist whose debut children’s book–The Adventures of Ellie & Boo–is being published by Book Guild Ltd. in late April 2020. A 2016 graduate of Cambridge’s MPhil in Conservation Leadership programme, Millie has spent the last ten years telling multimedia stories about exploration and wildlife conservation. Ellie & Boo–which targets children ages 8-12–features an adventurous tabby cat and Cambridge conservation master’s student who team up to help endangered and persecuted animals in the U.K. It’s (very) loosely based on Millie and her real-life tabby, Boo, who, like Millie, was born in Texas but lives in London. The book was illustrated by Eve O’Brien, who’s currently obtaining an MA in children’s book illustration at the Cambridge School of Art.
