Background
I am Head of Species for the RSPB in England. I lead on the delivery of our species recovery strategy in country, supporting operational teams in taking an evidence-based approach to improving the conservation prospects of priority species to move them through the species recovery curve. I also lead on species policy work in England, working with colleagues across the RSPB and external partners and stakeholders on the science into policy into practice interface. I have worked for the RSPB in a variety of roles since 2002, involving species recovery projects and land management advice. I have a BSc in Ecology, and an MSc in Entomology. I am passionate about the natural world, with particular interests in micro-moths (Microlepidoptera) and true flies (Diptera).
