Background
Charlotte Mathiassen has a M.Sc. in social anthropology from the University of Copenhagen. She has worked for almost 20 years with development cooperation in a large number of countries as a consultant on bilateral and multilateral interventions and with NGOs. She is specialized in community involvement in natural resource management, gender, and indigenous peoples but has also worked with many other issues such as advocacy and awareness raising. She has large experience in all phases of a project/program, including formulations, reviews and evaluations as well as social studies.
She currently works as Program Coordinator at DOF/BirdLife Denmark as part of the international team responsible for DOF’s Program on forest management and improved livelihoods in Nepal, Kenya and Uganda. CM is based in Copenhagen.
