Brett is a conservationist working in research. He specialises in plant conservation with a focus on Central Asian flora. He is currently working on wild tulip diversity but has also spent time researching wild apples. His areas of expertise include Red Listing, species distribution modelling, and plastome based phylogenetics. He works closely with teams at Botanic Gardens Conservation International, the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, and Fauna & Flora International as well as a range of collaborators in Central Asia.
