Background

I am finishing a thesis in the Department of Land Economy on adoption of silvopasture in the tropical forest frontier in Mexico. I am interested in understanding the reasons for the adoption of pro-environmental behaviour. I apply this knowledge to environmental policy and in the past I advised on measures to promote sustainable transport in Barcelona, I analysed the the effectiveness of a wetland rehabilitation and poverty alleviation programme in South Africa, and evaluated the negotiation processes of major international treaties for biodiversity conservation. Prior to starting the PhD, I worked for 2 years as knowledge manager and web developer at a networking platform in the clean technology sector. I have a degree in Environmental Science and postgraduate degrees in Ecological Economics and in Environmental Policy (from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the University of Oxford).
