Senior Director for Science, Global Wildlife Conservation and Director of Key Biodiversity Areas, Amphibian Survival Alliance

I am Senior Director for Science at Global Wildlife Conservation, where I lead a team working to identify and promote the conservation of Key Biodiversity Areas (KBAs), assess species for the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, and establish research collaborations with conservation partners and universities. I have a joint appointment with the Amphibian Survival Alliance, supporting the efforts of the Alliance to identify and promote the conservation of globally important sites for amphibians. As co-chair of the IUCN WCPA-SSC Joint Task Force on Biodiversity and Protected Areas, I led the process to develop A Global Standard for the Identification of Key Biodiversity Areas. I now serve as co-chair of the KBA Technical Working Group and the Infectious Diseases Working Group of the Amphibian Specialist Group. I have an adjunct faculty appointment with the School of Life Sciences at Arizona State University.
