Dr Ed Turner

University Lecturer & Curator of Insects, University Museum of Zoology, Cambridge

I research strategies that can be employed to conserve species diversity and healthy ecosystem functioning. In SE Asia I investigate management strategies to increase biodiversity in oil palm plantations without impacting yield. In the UK I work with the BCN Wildlife Trust to investigate the role of habitat management in supporting insect diversity on chalk grassland reserves. I have several year’s experience of engaging citizen scientists and managing citizen science projects.
